And continuing the dream
Sometimes fate intervenes and the stars align. This is precisely what happened with Kevin and Krista Whetstone met another couple at a show who mentioned they had a lifetime’s worth of wood. Through a series of events, the original collector could no longer craft the wood the way he intended.
Hand picked hardwoods
After speaking with the couple from the show more, a trip to Iowa was scheduled. Kevin and Krista went on a “Whetstone Adventure Day”, as they like to call them, and discovered a treasure trove of hand-picked hardwoods perfect for crafting Wettrock Co. custom pieces.
Kevin and Krista knew they were the perfect artisans to carry out the original collector’s vision, while also paying respect to the legacy of the original collector.
Each piece of wood tells a story
From the wood graining showing the tree’s life span and growing conditions to the care taken to procure and store it, to the skill and care taken to craft it into a beautiful and functional piece, and finally to the new lifetime of purpose given to it when it enters your home.
